Why standard panels often fail
D-Type ceilings have a recessed visual plane. A normal board panel may sit too high, too low or expose an unwanted edge.

Standard lay-in LED panels often do not fit D-Type or recessed T24 ceilings correctly. Relighting.de checks whether adapter profiles, special edge details or alternative luminaires can be used in the existing ceiling.

What is a D-Type ceiling?
It is a recessed ceiling edge type where the panel sits below or within the grid profile rather than as a simple lay-in board.
Can a standard 600x600 panel be used?
Sometimes only with an adapter profile. The edge detail has to be checked.
Is Rockfon D similar?
Rockfon D and other tegular systems share the same core issue: the edge detail matters for replacement.
Can this be checked from photos?
Yes. Photos of the panel edge and grid are usually the fastest starting point.
